New games!

I downloaded two new games for my CycloDS.
The first is a game that has been out for awhile already Tales of Innocence. Yes it is part of the Tales of series but have never made it to the US. However there was a team working on translating it for a very long time. I discovered today that the team is finally done, having just made it in time with their June release promise. I justed finished gettign the patch to work and will be playing more today while also trying to get my math homework done...hee hee. As a lover of tales games however I'm sure I wont be disappointed. If the tales games do so well over here on consoles I'm really surprised they dont bring over the DS versions. There is still the Tales of hearts games. And I hear there is a new title coming out on the Wii as well .
Ok so I'm fairly new to this game, but I've seen it talked about a lot. People just cant get enough to hitting and banging on those drums. I decided it's time I try to have a go at it. The latest game just came out and I'm downloading it as we speak. Here is hoping there isnt any protective ware on it and I can try it out as soon as possible. I hope it's as fun as everyone says it is.

Pink Fabric

So here is the cut out pieces of the body. It's pretty pink huh? And the funny part is I hate pink, but I love flaaffy. Even a shiny flaaffy is still pink.
You can also see the buttons I have decided to use. the pattern calls for velcro but I think that buttons will have a cute appeal.
After reading the steps in the pattern I found out they want you do do the tail in part two, so almost right away. I havnt cut out the tail for two reasons. First off I need to buy the second color for the strips on the tail. I also need to find some kind of ball to put on the end like flaaffy has. this doesnt even include the other problems! Such as stuffing, if I need to add a wire, and how to attach the ball to the tail end....sigh.
I wanted to try sowing some time this week but I need to figure out these problems first.

Flaaffy cosplay Starting

ok so I got my insane amount of pink fabric, fleece. and patterns.
Here's what I'm going, it's a merge of two designs.
The flaaffy picture you see brought forth the idea while I saw a bunch of people at fanime walking around in pajama like costumes. So the hair is not going to be a wig but rather a hood witht he ears on the hood as well.

The fleece seems a little see-through but I picked it over the more expensive stuff anyways because that was much heavier. I can always wear tights under it or something.
This pattern is huge, so huge. It's a penguin pattern from simplicity and it fits what I was almost exactly for the body. I just plan to cop the ends f the wings off to be plain sleeves and make the hood a little different. The tail is actually just what I wanted.

I cut out the pattern pieces today and tomorrow I plain to at least cut out the body.

NorNorCal Summer Picnic!

I went to a gathering yesterday that was very fun! It was hosted by Becca and Oscar who did an amazing job hosting and were very helpful. I was nervous as always because I was coming alone but knew I would meet people there I knew and make new friends. What made me even more nervous was the amount of professional photographers. I have never had a photoshoot and don't know how to pose very well yet with certain characters. Action ones and cutesy ones I can do but Holo was a bit harder for me to think of anything. So sorry to the camera men that had to work with me!

I still had a fun time. Surprised that there was no more fruit salad left by the time to clean up. The park was beautiful and the day was great. I mostly just stuck to small group, hoping from place to place. I also got to go look around the Japanese friendship garden .

If this is going on next year I will certainly go again.
